| The General Election did provide a boost for all the MAIN political parties in the Local Election. |

| However, the growth in INDEPENDENT support in Denton South was maintained - and it even increased this year. |
As an INDEPENDENT, I will continue to provide an alternative for the people of Denton South to all the main political parties. I Will also continue my campaign for Reform of Local Government and to speak out on local issues affecting the people of Denton South.
Many local residents across Tameside will now continue to suffer and be ignored by the "Punch & Judy" politics of a Labour Council and a Conservative Government. At the same time, an Ashton-obsessed council will continue to alienate residents in the other towns of Tameside, which will lead in turn to increasing demands for the creation of Town Councils!
It is my hope that, in future elections, people in the other towns of Tameside will join with me by standing, in their own areas, as INDEPENDENT candidates to provide a proper, local alternative to the NATIONAL PARTIES who dominate our Local Government.
