Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council consists of 19 electoral wards. Each ward has three elected Councillors. Currently, each of these Councillors comes up for election in consecutive years. The Council at present comprises 51 Labour Councillors and 6 Conservative Councillors. The next local elections are to take place on Thursday 22nd May 2014!
